On September 20, 2013 Alex Rodriguez hit his 24th grand slam, which is most by any player in MLB history, he passes Lou Gehrig who held the record for years.
I want to talk about Alex Rodriguez because he has been going through a lot of problems lately, I don't think anybody can deny Alex Rodriguez has had a very nice career in the twenty years he's played pro baseball, but he has had a lot of issues in his career also like PED usages (performance enhancing drugs).
In Alex's career he has hit .300 batting average in about 2,560 career games with about 9,808 at bats, Alex has scored about 1,900 runs, 2,940 hits,654 home runs, and 1,970 run batted in.
Alex has played for three teams in his career, Seattle Mariners drafted Alex in 1994 where he played until he was traded in 2000 to the Texas Rangers where he played for three years, there Alex was traded to the New York Yankees in 2004 to present.
Alex Rodriguez has had had a lot of career highlights and career awards such as 2009 world series champion, 2009 Babe Ruth award, three time American league MVP, fourteen time MLB all star, and 500 home run club.
In 2007 Rodriguez and the New York Yankees signed a $275 million dollar contract, which was the richest contract in MLB history.
In 2009 Alex Rodriguez denied using performance enhancing drugs, when in 2007 Alex was on the T.V show 60 minutes and admitted using steroids while playing with the Texas Rangers.

When I was little, ARod used to be my brother's favorite baseball player. It's sad how some athletes think they can do what they please and face no consequences. Hopefully he's learning from his mistakes.
ReplyDeleteARod is my mom's favorite. I'm not much into baseball but its nice to learn a little about his career.
